Sun Chocolate Tomato Plug Plant

Chocolate tones, classic cherry bite.
Sun Chocolate is an indeterminate cherry tomato grown for flavour first. The fruits are round, true cherry-sized, and ripen from green through deep mahogany-brown to a rich reddish chocolate colour, often with darker shoulders where exposed to strong light.
This is a cordon (vining) variety with long, elegant trusses that carry generous numbers of fruit.
Plants grow with good vigour and crop steadily through the season rather than in a single flush. Under glass, Sun Chocolate is a reliable and productive grower; outdoors it will crop in warm, sheltered conditions, but colour and sweetness are best achieved with some protection.
Flavour is where Sun Chocolate really stands out. The tomatoes are noticeably sweet, with a soft acidity and a deeper, more savoury undertone than red cherries. The darker skin reflects higher anthocyanin content, which contributes both to colour and complexity of flavour.
The flesh is juicy but not watery, making it ideal for snacking, salads, and eating straight from the plant.
Sun Chocolate is a good choice for growers who already like classic cherries but want something richer and more characterful, without moving into novelty territory.
