Superfruiter Tomato Plug Plant Collection
__
High-yield cherry tomatoes with real sweetness.
Some tomatoes are bred to impress on flavour alone. Others are bred to crop heavily. The Superfruiter Collection does both. These three cherry tomatoes are chosen for their ability to produce large quantities of fruit early in the season, without sacrificing sweetness or consistency.
All three are indeterminate cherry tomatoes that perform best under glass, where they crop heavily and steadily through the summer. They will grow outdoors in warm, sheltered conditions, but if you’re after maximum yield and flavour, a greenhouse or polytunnel makes a noticeable difference.
Sweetness is the defining feature here. Each variety is known for high sugar levels, with measured Brix readings around 8.8 under good conditions. The fruit is small, fast-ripening and produced in long trusses, which keeps the harvest coming without long gaps.
Included in the collection are two plugs each of Sweet Million F1, Tomatoberry and Sakura F1.
• Sweet Million F1 is a long-established favourite and one of the heaviest cropping cherry tomatoes available. The plants produce large, cascading trusses of small, bright red fruit with a clean balance of sweetness and acidity. It’s reliable, early and exceptionally productive, particularly under glass.
• Tomatoberry is distinctive both in shape and performance. The strawberry-shaped fruits are produced early and in large numbers, with plants capable of very high yields when well grown. The flavour is sweet and juicy rather than sharp, and the unusual shape makes it a talking point as well as a workhorse.
• Sakura F1 combines uniformity with flavour. The round, glossy cherry tomatoes are consistently sweet, with a firm texture that holds well on the vine. It crops heavily over a long period and is particularly dependable in controlled conditions.
Together, these three varieties form a collection for growers who want volume, sweetness and reliability, without waiting until late summer to get it.
