A heavy-cropping bush tomato for outdoors.

Totem is a compact, determinate tomato bred for heavy outdoor cropping. It’s a bush variety that stays neat and manageable, making it well suited to pots, containers and open ground where simplicity and reliability matter.

Despite its modest size, Totem is an exceptionally productive plant. It sets large numbers of small to medium-sized red tomatoes over the season, cropping steadily rather than all at once. With regular picking, plants continue producing without needing staking or side-shoot removal.

The fruits are round, evenly sized and ripen to a clear red. Flavour is balanced and traditional, combining sweetness with enough acidity to keep it fresh. The texture holds together well, making Totem useful both for fresh eating and everyday kitchen use.

Totem performs particularly well outdoors in UK conditions and is tolerant of less-than-perfect summers. It’s a good choice where greenhouse space is limited, or where an easy, high-yielding outdoor tomato is wanted with minimal fuss.

This is a variety chosen for growers who value productivity and reliability over plant size or training.
